Boom!!! The East Gets Hit Again

Snow, snow and more snow at least that's what we read are reading about the northeast. OK it hasn't been that warm here but we haven't had to use our snow shovel, ooops we don't own a snow shovel. OK, ok it hasn't been exactly warm down here but we haven't had to use the snow shovel yet, oops we don't own a snow shovel. I especially enjoy talking to people up north and they all say "It's really pretty outside". Did you notice that they say "outside" because they are "inside" where it's warm. I must agree with them that new fallen snow IS pretty but unless things have drastically changed in the New York Metro area twenty four hours after the snow stops it turns brown and when the temperature goes above freezing the slush shows up. All of a sudden the snow comes off the trees and bushes exposing the bleak harsh look of winter. Pretty snow is in places like Telluride Co., or Whistler Mt., Vancouver where the Olympics are taking place.
Speaking of the Olympics I heard that Lindsey Vonn had to give her Gold Medal back and the committee gave it to Obama. It turns out that he has gone downhill faster than any skier on our team. (drum roll). Cheer up people, spring is just a few months away.
Colleen, who's exhausted from her tough job, sent the following picture and I quote the caption "another hard day on the job". She is already planning her fishing trips to Key West.
Meaghan was kind enough to send the following pictures of Sean venturing outside and a movie of his rendition of Frosty the Snowman.

Awfully Quiet These Days

Things have been very quiet here. While it doesn't come as a surprise to us, the girls in CT and NJ have been hit hard with a few snowstorms. Remember kids, the nice weather is just a few months away. I read something this morning that by midnight tonight snow will have been on the ground in 50 states. The last to get it is Florida and the weather people are calling for snow in the Florida panhandle this afternoon. Crazy weather? Has anyone heard from Al Gore recently? The following pictures are from Frisco TX (just north of Dallas).

Well it looks like "The Madge" and myself are doing another cruise. We have booked passage on the "Jewel of the Seas" sailing from Fort Lauderdale on the 12th of November and heading to South and Central America. Anybody want to go to Colombia with us to score some drugs (Haha)? The gang that is going so far are the Calonicos and the Kennedys. With this crowd I hope the casino has plenty of money to lose.
