I Can't Make This Stuff Up

Headlines from KCBS San Francisco "Oakland 2nd Graders Reportedly Engage In Sex Acts. Teacher Suspended" the story went on to read "In one case, several students apparently took off their clothes and were naked in the classroom. In the second incident, a boy and girl reportedly engaged in oral sex in front of their classmates". In didn't occur to me at first but as this happened in Oakland, CA, who's to say that the 2nd grade students weren't consenting adults. Another thing because of Oakland's the proximity to San Francisco we should at least be thankful it involved members of the opposite sex.

Another story this week comes from Frayser High School in Memphis, Tennesse, "90 teenage girls pregnant in one High School". According to three of the students Chriscinda, Kendasha and Rashanique
all with the last name Thompson but not related, it was "A cute thing to do" and "I'm doing something that I'm good at".
President Obama has formed a new panel to look into this and has appointed golfer Tiger Woods sex czar.
Hey the other guy in the picture is football idol Ben Roethlisberger who will be starring in a playoff game this weekend.
This playoff game has placed me in an awkward situation, do I root for Mr. Nice Guy Ben and the steelers or the low class Jets and their fat coach? No problem "Go Green Bay".
One thing I noticed about Ben, he rarely wears his cap the correct way. According to the Encyclopedia, "A baseball cap is a soft hat that consists of a soft fabric crown sewn of several sections of fabric, a visor that protects the eyes from the sun, and a plastic extender in the center back that can adjust the size of the cap. Without a visor is referred to in the industry as a "beanie." Another explanation of the tilted and reversed visor comes from Jim Kenney, the turning of the visor on the cap signifies ones IQ and the more it is turned the lower your IQ is until the sub 100 IQ is achieved.
"The Madge" is scheduled for surgery. Being the Jill Strap that she was, a torn meniscus has developed. Arthroscopic surgery has tentatively been scheduled for Feb 2, she wants to "get it over with in time for our Hawaiian trip" we don't plan on leaving for Hawaii until the 25th of March so this gives her plenty of time to recuperate. As far as the logistics of the the trip go, I am in the process of setting up various excursions for first timer "The Madge". I contacted a limo company on Oahu to arrange transportation for us, I asked about their advertised tour which included "The Polynesian Culture Center" and how long does it give us to visit it? The owner said that they do not stop at any of the places listed on their website and so it's basically a drive by. No, no, no this won't do. Just let me have the stretch for the whole day. He would get back to me and that was six days ago. Is it time to move on??
More to follow.

1/11/11

Well, here it is "The Madge's" birthday

Here are a few pictures of "The Madge" growing up
She then met me and her life changed forever. The day that happened was the best day of my life so "The Madge" you can have anything you want for your birthday. You just go out and buy it and the sky's the limit. Thank God she doesn't read this blog. If you wish to send her a Birthday email her address is TheMadge@comcast.net.

Say Hello To My Little Friend

Well today is the big day for the Cotton Bowl, kickoff is scheduled for 7 PM central time. I will be attending the game is spirit and will observe it from an easy chair in front of a 72" TV with a fire going and a scotch in my hand. It seems that having the entire family for Christmas has taken it's toll of a few of us. Erin (weak from her Chemo), Brad, Caden, Mark, Sean and yours truly have all contracted various degrees of a Bacterial infection. I went to the Doctor on Tuesday, who ironically was also recovering from the same infection, and he prescribed a load of pills, nose spray and disinfectants to a insure a speedy recovery. Even though he is an A&M graduate and wanted me to attend the game, his skepticism of me attending was obvious.

The above is a picture of the little buggers who did me in.

One would have thought that since the people that would have been partying all weekend consisted of three sick people and three medical professionals we would all be in good hands. Jude the Doctor for Erin and Becky and Lisa (nurses) for Brad and myself, all that would be left are "The Madge" and Todd and I am sure that they could have gone out somewhere with my PLASTIC. I know that sometime in the future we will all be together and I will hear some of the stories of this weekend. Here's to a GOOD GAME.

Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year

I apologize for not posting these pictures sooner but I haven't been 100%, seems I caught a bug and having a tough time shaking it. Wait a minute, not feeling 100% is not correct, I feel like crap. Anyway "persevere" is my motto so let's get on with it. Only one more Christmas card with a picture came in so here it is.

These slightly attractive girls are Agnes, Julie & Anette, the daughters of our good friends Marianne & Arne Blystad of Hong Kong and Oslo, Norway.

Christmas at our house was great, everyone was here but never all at the same time therefore we were not stepping all over each other nor hearing from "The Madge" that we need a bigger house. Even though I published my Christmas list on this blog December 2nd not one of them honored my requests, oops take it back, Meaghan did return some of luggage she borrowed (?). They did however give me a tupperware bowl filled with cotton????? Yes, tickets to the Cotton Bowl, Texas A&M vs LSU, this Friday in Dallas at the new Cowboy Stadium. The foursome is myself, son-in-law Brad a A&M grad, Todd Neander, a hard core A&M Hitler youth, & Dr. Jude Reed, LSU grad. The game starts at 7 however they all plan to tailgate starting at 3, here's to being able to focus on the game. My prediction is LSU 31 - A&M 28.

Todd is one with a drink in his hand. These boys are typical cheerleaders at A&M so if you watch the game don't expect to the cameraman key in on good looking A&M girl cheerleaders.

This is a recent picture of Jude and his cute wife Lisa. He does plan on washing his mullet.

The girls also gave "The Madge" a day at the Spa. This is going to be a great weekend, good friends, good times and a good game.

Another gift we got was this picture of our grandson Sean holding what looks like a picture taken with the Hubell Telescope of a far away constellation. Upon further examination with an magnifying glass we discovered it is our third grand child. (see below picture)

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year Continued

For some reason I was unable to post the Christmas pictures on the other post so I have to do it two parts, sorry.
