The Madge Report

The Madge's surgery went well, the doctor said the meniscus tear was larger than he first thought but her knee's boo boo is all better now. She came out of the recovery room and walked to the car WITHOUT the aid of her crutches. When she got home she headed into her TV room and caught up on some shows she missed, took a nap and strolled out about 6 to join myself, Kathy and Dave Calonico sipping some wine in front of a roaring fire. Kathy told "The Madge" no wine with her pain medication, "The Madge" thought about it for a good 5 seconds and say "pour me a glass please, I'll skip the meds".
If you haven't heard it's cold here in Texas, the temperature at our house is 29 degrees as of noon, we also have snow and sleet in the forecast for this afternoon lasting until tomorrow morning with accumulations up to 3 inches. BIG DEAL. We did have a pipe break but it was a PVC pipe that fed our backyard fountain, good neighbor John had it fixed in 20 minutes. No complaints here.

Brrrrrrrrrrr !!!!!!

It is 23 degrees outside, 15 with the wind chill factor, but we should be back up to mid 60's by Saturday. Things could be worse though, we could be living in Dallas (City shut down) or worse yet be back in Connecticut.

I am waiting for the "The Madge" to open her baby blues as today is her big day. As previously posted she is heading over to the hospital for a 9:45 operation. I will be posting an update later today.
