Mel's amd Sushi

Saturday night we met Kathy, Dave, Jill, Alexis and the Hulk for dinner at Mel's. Mel's is one of the reasons that Houston has been called "The Fat City" of America. Mel's is located in a rundown area of Tomball, Texas just over the railroad tracks on Standolin Road. When one is driving down the street you can't help but wondering if "Am I in the right place?". You let out a sigh of relief when you come up to a clearing that is filled with pick up trucks, lots of higher priced cars and a few Harleys. The Food Is Great. The first time we went there "The Madge" asked what kind of wine do they have? The waitress said, "We have white, red and rose" I wonder if they are homemade. Check out the Mega Mel Burger and try to imagine someone polishing this baby off in nine minutes (the record).
Now after destroying our bodies at Mel's "The Madge", myself, invited Colleen and Mark to go to the Redfish Restaurant for a little sushi Sunday night. We've been there before but never ordered the raw stuff. A normal Roll has six pieces and when one orders sashimi it is by the piece. Nope not in Texas. The Rolls had either 10 or 12 pieces and "one" order of sashima is two pieces. Pretty simple, I ordered for four people but received enough food for eight. The table was not big enough to handle our order.
So it's back to veggies and fruit, can't wait till Saturday.

I think The Madge and The Hulk should get their own tv show.
