Well Hello Dolly

Pool news - The tile was finished late last Friday, the deck crew showed up on Monday and leveled the area around the pool, set the forms and left. Tuesday the gang showed up to set the flagstone around the perimeter of the pool, they hand cut each piece so their job is not a 1,2,3 process. Well they managed to complete half the job and left. Enter into the equation hurricane Dolly. Dolly hit Brownsville on Wednesday morning, for those that are not familiar with the state of Texas, Brownsville is about the same distance from Spring as New York City is to Virginia Beach. Not exactly around the corner, well the pool workers didn't show up Wednesday nor today. Hurricane Dolly is their excuse. The good news is that Caden comes today for a ten day visit and is bringing both his parents and his dog, Riley. Cooper is in a sulk because he doesn't like dogs, especially playful ones like Riley. Having them here will certainly liven things up since "The Madge" has been here only three days since July 9th. We miss her, but in her absence I've had the fortune of having lots of friends inviting me out for lunches and dinners. All the wrong foods and I am sure when "The Madge" returns this Saturday it's back to salads and nutritious food, you know the kind that has no taste but are good for you. Well tonight it's off to Mi Rancho to chow down on some great Mezcan food and say goodbye to the staff I won't see again until I lose some of the sans Madge weight I've gained.
